    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to marriages between persons of the
    3         same sex; repealing s. 741.212, F.S., relating to
    4         marriages between persons of the same sex; removing a
    5         prohibition on the recognition of same-sex marriages
    6         entered into in any jurisdiction; removing a
    7         prohibition on the state and its agencies and
    8         subdivisions from giving effect to a public act,
    9         record, or judicial proceeding of any jurisdiction
   10         respecting a same-sex marriage or relationship or a
   11         claim arising from such marriage or relationship;
   12         removing the definition of the term “marriage”;
   13         providing an effective date.

   15  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   16  
   17         Section 1. Section 741.212, Florida Statutes, is repealed.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021.
