    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to fees; amending s. 566.036, F.S.;
    3         requiring applicants for a marijuana establishment
    4         license to pay a specified application fee; providing
    5         a contingent effective date.

    7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    8  
    9         Section 1. Subsection (12) is added to section 566.036,
   10  Florida Statutes, as created by SB ____, 2021 Regular Session,
   11  to read:
   12         566.036 Licensing of marijuana establishments.—
   13         (12) An applicant for a marijuana establishment license
   14  shall pay an application fee not to exceed $5,000, as set by
   15  rule.
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that
   17  SB ____ or similar legislation takes effect, if such legislation
   18  is adopted in the same legislative session or an extension
   19  thereof and becomes a law.
