       Senator Jones moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 332 and 333
    4  insert:
    5         (6) PAYMENTS FOR CERTAIN SERVICES.—When appraisal or
    6  another method of alternative dispute resolution is required by
    7  an insurer and the umpire awards the insured or claimant more
    8  than the insurer’s most recent highest offer or the insurer’s
    9  last payment of the undisputed claim amount, all fees and costs
   10  incurred by the named insured or the claimant for services
   11  provided by appraisers, umpires, and independent experts shall
   12  be paid by the insurer within 30 days of the umpire’s award.
