       The Committee on Education (Hutson) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (e) of subsection (1) of section
    6  1009.531, Florida Statutes, is amended to read
    7         1009.531 Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program;
    8  student eligibility requirements for initial awards.—
    9         (1) In order to be eligible for an initial award from any
   10  of the scholarships under the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship
   11  Program, a student must:
   12         (e) Not have been found guilty of, or entered a plea of
   13  nolo contendere to, a felony charge, or more than one felony
   14  charge if committed while under the age of eighteen, or unless
   15  the student has been granted clemency by the Governor and
   16  Cabinet sitting as the Executive Office of Clemency.
   17         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021

   21         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   22  and insert:
   23                        A bill to be entitled                      
   24         An act relating to the Florida Bright Futures
   25         Scholarship Program; amending s. 1009.531, F.S.,
   26         modifying initial eligibility requirements for the
   27         Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program; providing
   28         an effective date.
