Senator Jones moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Between lines 509 and 510
4 insert:
5 Section 8. Subsection (5) is added to section 98.0751,
6 Florida Statutes, to read:
7 98.0751 Restoration of voting rights; termination of
8 ineligibility subsequent to a felony conviction.—
9 (5) An entity that issues a notification under s.
10 944.705(7)(a), s. 947.24(3), s. 948.041, or s. 951.29, or the
11 sentencing court if none of those sections apply, must notify
12 the appropriate supervisor of elections of the person who has
13 been disqualified from voting based on a felony conviction for
14 an offense other than murder or a felony sexual offense. Upon
15 receipt of such information, the supervisor must provide a
16 notification to any such person stating that he or she is
17 eligible for voting rights restoration upon payment of any
18 outstanding fines or fees so long as he or she has completed all
19 other terms of sentence and meets any other requirements under
20 s. 4, Art. VI of the State Constitution and this code.
