The Committee on Environment and Natural Resources (Brodeur)
recommended the following:

3 Delete lines 25 - 41
4 and insert:
5 might be achieved by efforts to remove accumulated sediments by
6 appropriate means, restore the natural river channel, remove
7 invasive plants, and implement protective measures. The report
8 must include an estimated cost for each improvement and
9 potential funding sources. Local or state agencies or their
10 contractors may conduct restoration efforts during the study
11 period. The department and the water management district shall
12 immediately review any permits north of SR 436 where the Little
13 Wekiva River is identified as the “receiving waters” to assess
14 whether any permittee is in violation of any permit conditions,
15 take appropriate action to resolve any compliance issues, and
16 remediate any impacts related to sedimentation in the Little
17 Wekiva River and its adjacent wetland habitat. If a permittee or
18 their contractors are found to be in violation of any permit
19 condition associated with a project that has had an accumulation
20 of sediments or has been found to have caused ecological harm to
21 the Little Wekiva River, the permitting agencies shall levy all
22 fines authorized by law commensurate with restoration costs.

33 review certain permits along the Little Wekiva River;
