    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to the tax refund program for
    3         qualified target industry businesses; amending s.
    4         288.106, F.S.; deleting a provision prohibiting the
    5         certification of applicants after a specified date;
    6         providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (9) of section 288.106, Florida
   11  Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         288.106 Tax refund program for qualified target industry
   13  businesses.—
   14         (9) EXPIRATION.—An applicant may not be certified as
   15  qualified under this section after June 30, 2020. A tax refund
   16  agreement existing on that date shall continue in effect in
   17  accordance with its terms.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2021.
