       Senator Farmer moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 202 - 207
    4  and insert:
    5         (5)(a)An employee is eligible for reemployment assistance
    6  under chapter 443 in addition to any other remedy available to
    7  the employee in the following circumstances:
    8         1.If an employer fails to comply with subsections (1) and
    9  (2) and terminates an employee based on the employee’s
   10  noncompliance with a COVID-19 vaccination mandate.
   11         2.If an employee leaves employment because his or her
   12  employer does not implement a COVID-19 vaccination mandate.
   13         3.If an employee has to leave employment to care for an
   14  immediate family member who has contracted COVID-19 or any other
   15  illness.
   16         4.If an employee loses employment as a result of a
   17  declared state of emergency in this state.
