    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to clinical laboratory testing;
    3         amending s. 483.801, F.S.; exempting certain
    4         registered nurses from clinical laboratory personnel
    5         licensure requirements under certain circumstances;
    6         providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (7) is added to section 483.801,
   11  Florida Statutes, to read:
   12         483.801 Exemptions.—This part applies to all clinical
   13  laboratories and clinical laboratory personnel within this
   14  state, except:
   15         (7) A registered nurse licensed under chapter 464
   16  performing alternate-site testing within a hospital or a
   17  hospital-based off-campus emergency department licensed under
   18  chapter 395.
   19         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.
