       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Book)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 29 - 33
    4  and insert:
    5  A sheriff may carry forward documented unexpended state funds
    6  from one fiscal year to the next. However, the cumulative amount
    7  of state funds carried forward may not exceed 8 percent of each
    8  sheriff's office total contract amount or grant agreement
    9  amount. Any unexpended state funds in excess of that amount and
   10  all unexpended federal funds must be returned to the department.
