Senator Brandes moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)

3 Between lines 166 and 167
4 insert:
5 (10) Nothing in this section prohibits a customer with
6 customer-owned renewable generation from physically
7 disconnecting from the electric grid and self-providing electric
8 service from renewable energy facilities located on the
9 customer’s premises. A customer exercising the right to
10 disconnect from the electric grid and self-provide electric
11 service shall be deemed to be self-providing utility service to
12 the premises, and any departing load associated with that
13 customer may not be counted as lost revenue to the public
14 utility or considered within any calculation of subsidization
15 that may occur between customers with and without customer-owned
16 renewable generation under this section.
