The Committee on Transportation (Gainer) recommended the
following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete line 32
4 and insert:
5 Section 2. Beginning September 1, 2023, in order to
6 implement the amendment made by this act to s. 320.055, Florida
7 Statutes, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
8 shall give customers the option to renew their registrations on
9 their dates of birth in 2024 or 2025. Customers whose dates of
10 birth occur in the months of January through June may choose to
11 renew for 1 to 18 months. Customers whose dates of birth occur
12 in the months of July through December may choose to renew for 7
13 to 24 months.
14 Section 3. This act shall take effect September 1, 2023.
