recommended the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete everything after the enacting clause
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Section 381.825, Florida Statutes, is created to
6 read:
7 381.825 Education and public awareness relating to
8 Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia.—
9 (1) This section may be cited as the “Ramping up Education
10 of Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia for You (READY) Act.”
11 (2) The Department of Health shall, through existing,
12 relevant public health and community outreach programs, educate
13 health care practitioners licensed under chapters 458, 459, and
14 464 on all of the following:
15 (a) The importance of early detection and timely diagnosis
16 of Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia.
17 (b) Using a validated cognitive assessment tool.
18 (c) The value and effectiveness of the Medicare annual
19 wellness visit in detecting Alzheimer’s disease and related
20 forms of dementia.
21 (d) Using Medicare advance care planning billing codes for
22 persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia.
23 (e) Reducing the risk of cognitive decline, particularly
24 among persons in diverse communities who are at greater risk of
25 developing Alzheimer’s disease and related forms of dementia.
26 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2022.

30 Delete everything before the enacting clause
31 and insert:
32 A bill to be entitled
33 An act relating to Alzheimer’s disease and related
34 forms of dementia education and public awareness;
35 creating s. 381.825, F.S.; providing a short title;
36 requiring the Department of Health to educate certain
37 health care practitioners regarding specified
38 information related to Alzheimer’s disease and related
39 forms of dementia; providing an effective date.
