       The Committee on Rules (Hutson) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (801476) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 53 - 62
    5  and insert:
    6  $300,000, as the case may be; and that portion of the judgment
    7  that exceeds these amounts may be reported to the Legislature,
    8  and but may be paid in part or in whole only by further act of
    9  the Legislature.
   10         (b) Notwithstanding the limited waiver of sovereign
   11  immunity provided in paragraph (a), a herein, the state or an
   12  agency or subdivision of the state thereof may agree, within the
   13  limits of insurance coverage provided, to settle a claim made or
   14  a judgment rendered against it in excess of the waiver provided
   15  in paragraph (a) without further action by the Legislature., but
