       Senator Rouson moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment
    2  
    3         Delete lines 592 - 601
    4  and insert:
    5         or
    6         i. Failing to pay personal injury protection insurance
    7  claims within the time periods required by s. 627.736(4)(b). The
    8  office may order the insurer to pay restitution to a
    9  policyholder, medical provider, or other claimant, including
   10  interest at a rate consistent with the amount set forth in s.
   11  55.03(1), for the time period within which an insurer fails to
   12  pay claims as required by law. Restitution is in addition to any
   13  other penalties allowed by law, including, but not limited to,
   14  the suspension of the insurer’s certificate of authority; or
   15         j.Compelling insureds to institute litigation to recover
   16  amounts due under an insurance policy by offering substantially
   17  less than the amounts ultimately recovered in actions brought by
   18  such insureds; or
