       Senator Farmer moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 617 and 618
    4  insert:
    5         Section 10. Section 624.4055, Florida Statutes, is amended
    6  to read:
    7         624.4055 Restrictions on existing private passenger
    8  automobile insurance.—
    9         (a) No insurer writing private passenger automobile
   10  insurance in this state may continue to write such insurance if
   11  the insurer writes homeowners’ insurance in another state but
   12  not in this state, unless the insurer writing private passenger
   13  automobile insurance in this state is affiliated with an insurer
   14  writing homeowners’ insurance in this state.
   15         (b) Upon receipt of a complaint from a resident of this
   16  state or an insurer that an insurer has violated this section,
   17  the Department of Revenue shall investigate and determine
   18  whether a violation has occurred. The department may request,
   19  and the office and the insurer that is the subject of the
   20  investigation shall provide to the department, information
   21  necessary for the department to conduct the investigation. Upon
   22  a determination that an insurer has violated this section, the
   23  department shall suspend disbursements to the office from the
   24  operating budget of the office.
