1 Senate Resolution
2 A resolution recognizing the outstanding service of
3 Adjutant General James O. Eifert throughout his
4 illustrious military career, on the occasion of his
5 retirement.

7 WHEREAS, Major General James O. Eifert is assigned as the
8 Adjutant General, Florida, serving since April 2019 as the
9 senior military advisor to the Governor, responsible for the
10 overall management, readiness, and mobilization of both the
11 United States Army and the United States Air Force elements of
12 the Florida National Guard, and
13 WHEREAS, during his tenure as the Adjutant General, Major
14 General James O. Eifert has provided exemplary guidance and
15 leadership during the approach and aftermath of two major
16 hurricanes and other natural disasters and during this state’s
17 unprecedented response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and
18 WHEREAS, since the time of his commission from the United
19 States Air Force Academy in June 1982 and his graduation from
20 the United States Air Force Fighter Weapons School in December
21 1992, Major General James O. Eifert has consistently
22 demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities, and
23 WHEREAS, with his boundless energy and commitment, Major
24 General James O. Eifert has contributed immeasurably to the
25 readiness and well-being of members of the Florida National
26 Guard and the Department of Military Affairs, and
27 WHEREAS, Major General James O. Eifert is retiring from
28 military service on April 22, 2023, NOW, THEREFORE,

30 Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

32 That Adjutant General James O. Eifert is recognized for his
33 outstanding service throughout his illustrious military career,
34 on the occasion of his retirement as the senior military advisor
35 to the Governor.
36 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, with
37 the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Adjutant General
38 James O. Eifert as a tangible token of the sentiments of the
39 Florida Senate.
