       The Committee on Community Affairs (DiCeglie) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 62 - 74
    4  and insert:
    5  provide service to customers. Cost recovery for any renewable
    6  natural gas or hydrogen-based fuel infrastructure project sought
    7  pursuant to this subsection must be approved by the commission.
    8         (a) In assessing whether cost recovery for any renewable
    9  natural gas or hydrogen-based fuel infrastructure projects is
   10  appropriate, the commission shall consider whether the projected
   11  costs for such renewable natural gas or hydrogen-based fuel
   12  infrastructure projects are reasonable and consistent with this
   13  subsection.
   14         (b) Recovery of costs incurred by a public utility for a
   15  renewable natural gas or hydrogen-based fuel infrastructure
   16  project approved for cost recovery under this subsection may not
   17  be
