       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Brodeur)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 1175 and 1176
    4  insert:
    5         Section 19. If the recommendations necessary to validate
    6  the current screening and assessment instruments are implemented
    7  by December 1, 2023, as required in Section 15 of this bill, the
    8  Florida Institute for Child Welfare shall validate the screening
    9  and assessment instruments by June 1, 2024. The cost of
   10  validation shall be absorbed within the Florida Institute for
   11  Child Welfare’s base appropriation.

   14  And the title is amended as follows:
   15         Delete line 162
   16  and insert:
   17         report to the Legislature by a specified date; require
   18         the Florida Institute for Child Welfare to validate
   19         the current screening and assessment by a certain date
   20         and for it to complete validation within its base
   21         appropriations;
