       The Committee on Commerce and Tourism (Bradley) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 110 - 119
    4  and insert:
    5  economic value, actual or potential, from being generally
    6  unknown to, and not readily ascertainable by, other persons who
    7  might obtain economic value from its disclosure or use. Allowing
    8  public access to proprietary information, including a trade
    9  secret, through a public records request could destroy the value
   10  of the proprietary information and cause a financial loss to the
   11  controller, processor, or third party. Release of such
   12  information could give business competitors an unfair advantage.
