Program: Private Colleges And Universities 48190000 In Section 02 On Page 014 58 Special Categories 102130 Grants And Aids - Private Colleges And Universities IOEB 1000 General Revenue Fund 9,200,000 9,700,000 CA 500,000 FSI1NR 500,000 At the end of existing proviso language, following Specific Appropriation 58, INSERT: From the funds provided in Specific Appropriation 58, $500,000 in nonrecurring funds from the General Revenue Fund is provided for accredited private educational institutions that offer licensed practical nurse, associate of science in nursing, or bachelor of science in nursing programs, and possess a first-time passage rate on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensing Examination of at least 70 percent for the prior year. The funds are provided to incentivize collaboration between nursing education programs and health care partners. Funds are provided for student scholarships, recruitment of additional faculty, equipment, and simulation centers to advance high-quality nursing education programs throughout the state. Funds may not be used for the construction of new buildings. An institution must submit a timely and completed proposal to Department of Education, in a format prescribed by the department. The proposal must identify a health care partner located and licensed to operate in the state whose monetary contributions will be matched by the fund on a dollar-to-dollar basis, subject to available funds.
