       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Hooper) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 65 and 66
    4  insert:
    5         Section 3. Paragraph (d) of subsection (1) of section
    6  550.01215, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         550.01215 License application; periods of operation;
    8  license fees; bond.—
    9         (1) Each permitholder shall annually, during the period
   10  between December 15 and January 4, file in writing with the
   11  commission its application for an operating license for a pari
   12  mutuel facility for the conduct of pari-mutuel wagering during
   13  the next state fiscal year, including intertrack and simulcast
   14  race wagering. Each application for live performances must
   15  specify the number, dates, and starting times of all live
   16  performances that the permitholder intends to conduct. It must
   17  also specify which performances will be conducted as charity or
   18  scholarship performances.
   19         (d) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, other than
   20  a permitholder issued a permit pursuant to s. 550.3345, a pari
   21  mutuel permitholder may not be issued an operating license for
   22  the conduct of pari-mutuel wagering, slot machine gaming, or the
   23  operation of a cardroom if the permitholder did not hold an
   24  operating license for the conduct of pari-mutuel wagering for
   25  fiscal year 2020-2021. This paragraph does not apply to a
   26  purchaser, transferee, or assignee holding a valid permit for
   27  the conduct of pari-mutuel wagering approved pursuant to s.
   28  550.054(15)(a).
