       The Committee on Education Postsecondary (Wright) recommended
       the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment
    2  
    3         Delete lines 21 - 37
    4  and insert:
    5         (b) An active duty member or veteran of the Army, Navy, Air
    6  Force, Space Force, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard; a reserve
    7  component of any branch of the United States military; or the
    8  Florida National Guard; and his or her spouse and dependents.
    9         (2)(a) The State Board of Education shall adopt rules, and
   10  the Board of Governors shall adopt regulations, to establish the
   11  Collegiate Purple Star Campuses program. At a minimum, the
   12  program must require a participating Florida College System
   13  institution, state university, or career center to:
   14         1. Designate a staff member as a military liaison.
   15         2. Maintain a web page on the institution’s website which
   16  includes resources for military students and their families.
   17         3. Maintain a student-led transition program that assists
   18  military students in transitioning to the institution.
