       Senator Rodriguez moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (2) of section
    6  163.08, Florida Statues, is amended to read:
    7         163.08 Supplemental authority for improvements to real
    8  property.—
    9         (2) As used in this section, the term:
   10         (a) “Local government” means a county, a municipality, a
   11  dependent special district as defined in s. 189.012, or a
   12  separate legal entity created pursuant to s. 163.01(7) which has
   13  jurisdiction only within the boundaries of the participating
   14  members of an interlocal agreement.
   15         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2023.

   18  And the title is amended as follows:
   19         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   20  and insert:
   21                        A bill to be entitled                      
   22         An act relating to improvements to real property;
   23         amending s. 163.08, F.S.; revising the definition of
   24         the term “local government” for purposes of provisions
   25         governing the financing of certain improvements to
   26         real property; providing an effective date.
