       Senator Pizzo moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 43 - 48
    4  and insert:
    5  transport of inspected unauthorized aliens, with their knowing
    6  and voluntary consent, within the United States, consistent with
    7  federal law. Notwithstanding s. 287.057, Florida Statutes, the
    8  division is authorized to contract for services to implement the
    9  program.
   10         (4)The division may adopt rules to implement the program.
   11         (5)An inspected unauthorized alien’s consent for transport
   12  is knowing and voluntary only after he or she is informed, in
   13  writing in his or her preferred language on a document that is
   14  conspicuously titled with the seal of the State of Florida, of
   15  all of the following:
   16         (a)The address of the exact destination of the transport.
   17         (b)Whether anyone affiliated with the address of
   18  destination has been informed of the transport.
   19         (c)The means and timing of the transport.
   20         (d)The nature of any arrangements, including shelter,
   21  employment, and social services, that have been secured in good
   22  faith for the inspected unauthorized alien at the destination or
   23  that no such arrangements have been made.
   24         (e)Information about how to proceed with his or her
   25  immigration case upon arrival at the destination.
   26  
   27  If written communications in the inspected unauthorized alien’s
   28  preferred language are insufficient to give notice of this
   29  information, a sworn attestation of a person who verbally
   30  communicates the information may substitute for the written
   31  notice. The inspected unauthorized alien must sign a document
   32  confirming receipt of all required information and consenting to
   33  the transport in order to participate in the program.
   34         (6)This section expires June 30, 2025.
