       Senator Calatayud moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment
    2  
    3         Delete lines 69 - 79
    4  and insert:
    5  sum of $15,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund is appropriated
    6  to the Department of Education as fixed capital outlay to
    7  provide grants to full-time Jewish day schools and Jewish
    8  preschools for hardening security measures, including the
    9  purchase and installation of security infrastructure, perimeter
   10  lighting, materials for door hardening, security camera systems,
   11  perimeter fencing, barriers and bollards, and blast-resistant
   12  film and shatter-resistant glass for windows. Grants must be
   13  awarded no later than March 1, 2024.
   14         Section 5. For the 2023-2024 fiscal year, the nonrecurring
   15  sum of $10,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund is appropriated
