       Senator Hutson moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 33 - 40
    4  and insert:
    5         (a) Establish a network of swimming lesson vendors that
    6  will accept the vouchers offered by the program in exchange for
    7  providing swimming lessons. To establish the network, the
    8  department may contract directly with swimming lesson vendors or
    9  contract with one or more nonprofit organizations that promote
   10  swimming safety to subcontract with and manage swimming lesson
   11  vendors in one or more counties, or both. To ensure that
   12  swimming lessons are available throughout this state, the
   13  department, either directly or through a contracted nonprofit
   14  organization, must attempt to secure at least one such vendor in
   15  each county. Any swimming lesson vendor that offers swimming
   16  lessons at a public pool that is owned or maintained by a county
   17  or municipality must, if requested by the department or by a
   18  nonprofit organization contracted by the department,

   22         Delete lines 6 - 8
   23  and insert:
   24         establish a network of swimming lesson vendors to
   25         participate in the program; allowing the department to
   26         contract with certain nonprofit organizations to
   27         assist in establishing the network; requiring the
   28         department or a contracted nonprofit organization to
   29         attempt to secure a vendor
