       The Committee on Education Postsecondary (Osgood) recommended
       the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 28 - 92
    4  and insert:
    5         (4) An individual may not lose his or her resident status
    6  for tuition purposes solely by reason of incarceration in a
    7  state or federal correctional facility in this state.

   10  And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   11         Delete lines 17 - 20
   12  and insert:
   13  1009.21, Florida Statutes, are redesignated as subsections (5)
   14  through (14), respectively, and a new subsection (4) is added to
   15  that section, to read:

   17  And the title is amended as follows:
   18         Delete lines 3 - 11
   19  and insert:
   20         purposes; amending s. 1009.21, F.S.; providing that a
   21         person may not lose his or her resident status for
   22         tuition purposes due to incarceration;
