       Senator Pizzo moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (847706) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 5 - 10
    5  and insert:
    6  shall be adjusted for inflation every 5 years, beginning January
    7  1, 2025, using the average percentage change over the preceding
    8  5 years in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers,
    9  U.S. City Average, all items 1967=100, or successor reports for
   10  the preceding calendar year as initially reported by the United
   11  States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, if such
   12  percent change is positive. The amount of such adjustment may
   13  not exceed 3 percent.
