       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Collins) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (738808) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Delete lines 31 - 37
    5  and insert:
    6  responder results, commits a felony of the second degree,
    7  punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.
    8         (3) It is a defense to a violation of this section that a
    9  first responder acted outside the scope of ordinary care
   10  generally exercised by a member of his or her profession, and in
   11  doing so, caused or substantially contributed to his or her
   12  exposure.

   15  And the title is amended as follows:
   16         Delete lines 51 - 52
   17  and insert:
   18         overdose or serious bodily injury; providing a
   19         defense; providing an effective date.
