       The Committee on Children, Families, and Elder Affairs (Powell)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 31 - 36
    4  and insert:
    5  conviction, unless the conviction is for trafficking pursuant to
    6  s. 893.135. If an individual has been determined by the
    7  department to be a victim of human trafficking as defined in s.
    8  943.0583(1), the individual may not be denied benefits solely on
    9  the basis of being convicted of a trafficking offense described
   10  in s. 893.135. To be eligible under this section, an individual
   11  convicted of a drug felony must be satisfactorily meeting the
   12  requirements of the temporary cash assistance program, including
   13  all substance abuse treatment requirements. Within the limits
   14  specified in this chapter, the state opts out of the provision
   15

   17  And the title is amended as follows:
   18         Delete lines 3 - 10
   19  and insert:
   20         eligibility; amending s. 414.095, F.S.; providing that
   21         benefits may not be denied to certain victims of human
   22         trafficking; making technical changes; providing an
   23         effective date.
