       The Appropriations Committee on Agriculture, Environment, and
       General Government (Berman) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 61 - 74
    4  and insert:
    5  necessary and appropriate imaging examination of the breast, as
    6  determined in accordance with the most recent applicable
    7  guidelines of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network,
    8  including, but not limited to, an examination using diagnostic
    9  mammography, breast magnetic resonance imaging, or breast
   10  ultrasound, which is used to evaluate an abnormality that is
   11  seen or suspected from a screening examination for breast
   12  cancer.
   13         (c)“Supplemental breast examination” means a medically
   14  necessary and appropriate imaging examination of the breast, as
   15  determined in accordance with the most recent applicable
   16  guidelines of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, which
   17  is:
   18         1.Used to screen for breast cancer when there is no
   19  abnormality seen or suspected; and
   20         2.Based on personal or family medical history or
   21  additional factors that may increase the person’s risk of breast
   22  cancer, as determined in accordance with the most recent
   23  applicable guidelines of the National Comprehensive Cancer
   24  Network.
