    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to transportation concurrency;
    3         amending s. 163.3180, F.S.; revising which facilities
    4         must be identified in the capital improvements element
    5         of a comprehensive plan that imposes transportation
    6         concurrency; providing an effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Paragraph (d) of subsection (5) of section
   11  163.3180, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         163.3180 Concurrency.—
   13         (5)
   14         (d) The premise of concurrency is that the public
   15  facilities will be provided in order to achieve and maintain the
   16  adopted level of service standard. A comprehensive plan that
   17  imposes transportation concurrency must shall contain
   18  appropriate amendments to the capital improvements element of
   19  the comprehensive plan, consistent with the requirements of s.
   20  163.3177(3). The capital improvements element must shall
   21  identify facilities necessary to meet adopted levels of service
   22  during a 5-year period or to maintain current levels of service.
   23         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
