    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to conduct in polling places; amending
    3         s. 102.031, F.S.; authorizing members of the public to
    4         take photographs before the polls open and after the
    5         polls close; providing construction; providing an
    6         effective date.

    8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
    9  
   10         Section 1. Subsection (5) of section 102.031, Florida
   11  Statutes, is amended to read:
   12         102.031 Maintenance of good order at polls; authorities;
   13  persons allowed in polling rooms and early voting areas;
   14  unlawful solicitation of voters.—
   15         (5) No photography is permitted in the polling room or
   16  early voting area, except an elector may photograph his or her
   17  own ballot. A member of the public may photograph before the
   18  polls open and after the polls close when voting has ended. This
   19  subsection does not authorize any camera or other recording
   20  device to be affixed or mounted, or to remain, inside a polling
   21  room or early voting area during the time any voter is voting.
   22         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
