       The Appropriations Committee on Health and Human Services
       (Burton) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment
    2  
    3         Delete lines 34 - 39
    4  and insert:
    5  maintenance organization, as necessary, or may rely on the
    6  online provider directory of the health insurer or health
    7  maintenance organization.
    8         (b) The requirements of paragraph (a) do not apply if the
    9  patient indicates in writing that he or she does not wish the
   10  referring health care practitioner to confirm whether other
   11  providers participate in the provider network of the patient’s
   12  health insurer or health maintenance organization.
