Senator Truenow moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

3 Delete everything after the enacting clause
4 and insert:
5 Section 1. Subsection (8) is added to section 288.1031,
6 Florida Statutes, as created in SB 600, 2025 Regular Session, to
7 read:
8 288.1031 Florida Manufacturing Promotional Campaign.—
9 (8) The department shall assess and collect an annual fee
10 not to exceed $100 per registrant to fund the costs of the
11 voluntary Florida Manufacturing Promotional Campaign related to
12 creation and development of logos, promotional materials,
13 advertising programs, industry promotion, and disbursement of
14 promotional materials. Fees must be deposited into a separate
15 account within the Economic Development Trust Fund established
16 in s. 288.095 to be used solely for administering the campaign.
17 Fees may not be expended for food, beverages, lodging,
18 entertainment, travel expenses, or gifts for employees of the
19 department, a person or employees of a person who is
20 participating in the campaign, or media representatives.
21 Section 2. This act shall take effect on the same date that
22 SB 600 or other similar legislation takes effect, if such
23 legislation is adopted in the same legislative session or an
24 extension thereof and becomes a law.

29 and insert:
30 A bill to be entitled
31 An act relating to fees; amending s. 288.1031, F.S.;
32 requiring the Department of Commerce to assess and
33 collect a specified annual fee sufficient to fund the
34 costs of administering the voluntary Florida
35 Manufacturing Promotional Campaign; requiring that
36 such fees be deposited into the Economic Development
37 Trust Fund for a specified purpose; prohibiting such
38 fees from being expended for specified purposes;
39 providing a contingent effective date.
