    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to consumer transparency for
    3         homeowner’s insurance; creating s. 624.37, F.S.;
    4         requiring the Office of Insurance Regulation to
    5         provide a consumer guide relating to homeowner’s
    6         insurance on a publicly accessible website; specifying
    7         requirements for such guide; providing an effective
    8         date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11  
   12         Section 1. Section 624.37, Florida Statutes, is created to
   13  read:
   14         624.37 Consumer transparency for homeowner’s insurance.—The
   15  office shall, on a publicly accessible website, provide a
   16  consumer guide relating to homeowner’s insurance which includes
   17  all of the following information:
   18         (1) General information regarding homeowner’s insurance
   19  policies.
   20         (2) The types of homeowner’s insurance policies and the
   21  coverage provided under each type.
   22         (3) A comparison of the annual homeowner’s insurance
   23  premiums for each insurer in this state.
   24         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2025.
