       The Committee on Rules (Trumbull) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 892 - 908
    4  and insert:
    5         489.1295 Prohibition against nonpayment.—
    6         (1) A licensed contractor must compensate a subcontractor
    7  or supplier, unless there is a bona fide dispute regarding the
    8  amount due, if any, for services, labor, or materials:
    9         (a) Within 45 days after receiving payment for the services
   10  performed or materials supplied by the subcontractor or
   11  supplier; or
   12         (b) In accordance with the terms of the contract for such
   13  services, labor, or materials.
   14         (2) A licensed contractor who knowingly or willfully
   15  violates this section is subject to disciplinary proceedings as
   16  provided in s. 489.129.

   19  And the title is amended as follows:
   20         Delete lines 90 - 95
   21  and insert:
   22         489.1295, F.S.; requiring licensed contractors to
   23         compensate subcontractors or suppliers for services,
   24         labor, or materials within a specified timeframe after
   25         receiving payment or in accordance with the terms of
   26         the contract for services, labor, or materials;
   27         providing an exception; providing disciplinary
   28         measures; amending s. 500.04,
