       The Committee on Health Policy (Harrell) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. Paragraph (e) is added to subsection (1) of
    6  section 464.008, Florida Statutes, to read:
    7         464.008 Licensure by examination.—
    8         (1) Any person desiring to be licensed as a registered
    9  nurse or licensed practical nurse shall apply to the department
   10  to take the licensure examination. The department shall examine
   11  each applicant who:
   12         (e) Beginning July 1, 2027, has completed a 2-hour course
   13  on human trafficking. The course must include the content
   14  required for the human trafficking continuing education course
   15  required under s. 464.013(3)(c).
   16         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2026.

   20         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   21  and insert:
   22                        A bill to be entitled                      
   23         An act relating to human trafficking education for
   24         nurse licensure; amending s. 464.008, F.S.; revising
   25         requirements for initial licensure as a registered
   26         nurse or licensed practical nurse, beginning on a
   27         specified date, to include completion of a certain
   28         course on human trafficking; providing an effective
   29         date.
