    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
    3         Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund within the
    4         Executive Office of the Governor; amending s.
    5         252.3711, F.S.; extending the scheduled termination of
    6         the Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund;
    7         providing an effective date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. The Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund
   12  within the Executive Office of the Governor, which is to be
   13  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State
   14  Constitution on February 17, 2026, is re-created.
   15         Section 2. Subsection (3) of section 252.3711, Florida
   16  Statutes, is amended to read:
   17         252.3711 Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund.—
   18         (3) In accordance with s. 19(f)(2), Art. III of the State
   19  Constitution, The Emergency Preparedness and Response Fund
   20  shall, unless terminated sooner, be terminated December 31, 2027
   21  4 years after the effective date of this act. Before its
   22  scheduled termination, the fund shall be reviewed as provided in
   23  s. 215.3206(1) and (2).
   24         Section 3. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
