Senator Davis moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (903278) (with title
2 amendment)

4 Between lines 235 and 236
5 insert:
6 Section 5. Section 97.0536, Florida Statutes, is created to
7 read:
8 97.0536 Fee waiver for requesting documents acceptable as
9 evidence of United States citizenship.—Any political subdivision
10 of the state, a county, or a municipality may not charge a
11 resident of this state a fee for issuing, reissuing, or
12 providing certified copies of a document listed in s. 97.021(10)
13 if such resident swears or affirms that he or she requires the
14 document to provide evidence of citizenship for voting purposes
15 and provides the following statement: “I do solemnly swear (or
16 affirm) that I am qualified to register as an elector under the
17 Constitution and laws of the State of Florida and that I require
18 this document in order to provide evidence of United States
19 citizenship for purposes of becoming or remaining a registered
20 voter in this state.”

24 Delete line 1600
25 and insert:
26 registration system; creating s. 97.0536, F.S.;
27 prohibiting political subdivisions of the state,
28 counties, and municipalities from charging fees for
29 certain documents under specified conditions;
30 specifying the oath a resident must provide; amending
31 s. 97.057, F.S.;
