       The Committee on Appropriations (Smith) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 443 and 444
    4  insert:
    5         (c) Counties may use tourist development taxes collected
    6  pursuant to Section 125.0104, Florida Statutes, to provide
    7  funding for public safety, including law enforcement, fire
    8  service, and emergency medical service, and for education and
    9  public schools in the same manner as authorized for the use of
   10  ad valorem taxes and school district levies.
