The Florida Senate

The 2012 Legislative Session concluded on Friday, March 9, with the Florida Legislature passing a balanced, no new taxes budget and ushering in a variety of legislation that aims to make Florida the optimal state to live and work.

Summaries of bills that passed the Florida Legislature during the 2012 Legislative Session are now available. These bill summaries can be found under Committees > Committees Publications. 

The mandatory legal reviews of redistricting plans concluded with the Florida Supreme Court approving the revised state Senate redistricting plan, and the U.S. Department of Justice granting administrative preclearance to the state Senate, House and Congressional plans.
