SPB 7176: Assisted Living Facilities

PROPOSED BILL by Children, Families, and Elder Affairs

Assisted Living Facilities; Requiring that the case manager assigned to a mental health resident of an assisted living facility that holds a limited mental health license keep a record of the date and time of face-to-face interactions with the mental health resident and make the record available to the Department of Children and Family Services for inspection; requiring that an assisted living facility comply with notice of relocation or termination of residency from the facility when a decision is made to relocate or terminate the residency of a resident; requiring that a newly hired employee or administrator of an assisted living facility attend a preservice orientation provided by the assisted living facility; prohibiting an assisted living facility from operating unless it is under the management of an administrator who holds a valid license or provisional license, etc.
