The Budget Committee represents the Senate in budgeting and overseeing the funding and other financial matters of the entire Florida state government, which is supported by the following subcommittees: Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations Committee; Education Pre K-12 Appropriations Committee; Higher Education Appropriations Committee; General Government Appropriations Committee; Finance and Taxation Committee; Health and Human Services Appropriations Committee; and Transportation, Tourism and Economic Development Appropriations Committee.
