Committee on Health Regulation
Welcome to the Senate Health Regulation Committee webpage. The committee oversees health-related matters to address emerging threats and changing patterns in the healthcare industry. The committee generally hears issues related to Medicaid, health care facility and health care practitioner regulation, health insurance for children, environmental health programs, public health issues, and health policy issues.
The committee has jurisdiction over the Department of Health and the Agency for Health Care Administration. The committee maintains a continuous review of the work of these agencies as well as the performance of the functions within each subject area. This webpage contains information on committee legislation, committee meetings, and provides access to committee hearing testimony.
