SB 1648: Required Instruction in the Public Schools

GENERAL BILL by Margolis

Required Instruction in the Public Schools; Requires each district school board to provide and each high school student to complete specified coursework in human sexuality. Requires the coursework to be developed by the Department of Education with input from teachers, school administrators, students, parents, and medical professionals. Requires the availability of resource packets containing course content. Revises the contents of authorized instruction. Authorizes exemption from instruction, etc.
