GENERAL BILL by State Affairs Committee ; Finance and Tax Committee ; Government Operations Subcommittee ; Adkins ; (CO-INTRODUCERS) Costello

Retirement; Requires members of board of trustees of firefighters' pension trust fund & municipal police officers' retirement trust fund to serve staggered terms; provides duties of board relating to establishment of requirements for plan administrator; authorizes governing body of municipality to terminate plan administrator's pension or retirement plan under certain conditions; relating to municipalities & special fire control districts that have their own pension plans & want to participate in distribution of tax fund; provides requirements for municipalities with plans with an unfunded liability; provides applicability; provides declaration of important state interest.
