This bill provides $1 million for the benefit of Iyonna Hughey. She was diagnosed with herpes meningoencephalitis shortly after her birth. Her condition was attributed to failures of the Brevard County Health Department to diagnose and treat Iyonna?s mother for herpes simplex type 2.
If approved by the Governor, or allowed to become law without the Governor's signature, these provisions take effect upon becoming law.
