SB 628 — Transportation Facility Designations/Warrior Sacrifice Way

The bill establishes honorary designations for the following transportation facilities and directs the Florida Department of Transportation to erect suitable markers:
- Warrior Sacrifice Way in Escambia County;
- State Representative/Circuit Judge Hon. John J. Crews, Jr., Memorial Highway in Baker County;
- Dickey Betts Memorial Highway in Sarasota County;
- Phil Smith Memorial Highway in Broward County;
- Mayor Larry A. Dale Memorial Highway in Seminole County;
- Terry L. Fields Memorial Access in Duval County;
- Terry Stiles Memorial Boulevard in Broward County;
- Rick Case Memorial Highway in Broward County;
- Charles Dascal Way in Miami-Dade County;
- Lowell Lohman Road in Volusia County;
- George Mirabal Road in Volusia County;
- Estenna K. Wells Memorial Highway in Walton County;
- Superintendent Pledger V. Sullivan Memorial Highway in Okaloosa County;
- President John Thrasher Memorial Boulevard in Leon County;
- Bobby Bowden-Tallahassee International Airport in Leon County.
The bill extends the existing designation of a portion of S.R. 80 in Palm Beach County as “President Donald J. Trump Highway.” The extended designation is from S.R. A1A in Palm Beach County, west through Hendry County, to U.S. 41 in Lee County.
The bill also revises an existing honorary designation of “Senator N. Ray Carroll Memorial Interchange” in Osceola County to reflect recent Turnpike construction.
If approved by the Governor, or allowed to become law without the Governor's signature, these provisions take effect on July 1, 2026.
